Google Business Profiles are now showing view counts on photos and videos, which is a pretty big clue about where things are headed. Google wouldn’t spend time adding engagement metrics to media if they didn’t care a lot about media. Think about it this way:

if someone searches for your business and sees outdated photos from 2019 that look like they were taken on a potato, that’s probably not helping your cause. But if they see fresh images, happy customers, videos of your team working, and proof that your business is alive and thriving, trust goes through the roof.
